The Traffic Injury Research Foundation
The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) is Canada's leading research institute when it comes to road safety. Their research leads to evidence-based solutions and Desjardins Insurance is proud to partner with TIRF to reduce traffic-related incidents in Canada.
TIRF focuses on impaired driving and young drivers, which accounts for a substantial proportion of fatalities and injuries on our roads. Other areas of interest for TIRF include speeding, aggressive driving, distracted driving and driver education/licencing.

Wildlife Roadsharing Resource Centre
In Canada, wildlife-vehicle collisions (WVCs) are a serious problem that can result in grave injuries and death. In fact, collisions with large animals happen between four to eight times an hour and occur more than 45,000 times a year.
The TIRF’s Wildlife Roadsharing Resource Centre provides information, data and resources to help reduce and prevent WVCs.
