Community guidelines

Desjardins Insurance is present in many social media communities, and so our Desjardins Agents. We want these to be places where people can share, discuss and discover great information and ideas. In keeping with the spirit of these communities, we have a core set of guidelines for everyone to follow. These will make our social media communities a place everyone can enjoy.

Comments come from the public

We do not verify all information shared by those commenting. The comments, opinions and statements made by these individuals do not necessarily reflect the views, policies or practices of Desjardins Insurance or Desjardins Agents and are the responsibility of those individuals who created the information.

Protect your personal information

Remember these are public forums and not private communications. Please do not reference any claims or share personal, account or policy information. For questions about an individual insurance matter, please contact your Desjardins Agent.

Be courteous

The purpose of our social media communities is to share and inform. By sharing what you know, you can make a positive contribution to our communities. Differences of opinion are welcome but it is not permitted to post anything that is obscene or otherwise objectionable, that harasses, abuses, bullies or threatens others or that is intended to harass, abuse, bully or threaten others.

Stay on topic

Your comments should be relevant to the area or topic where they are placed. The posting of spam, commercial messaging, marketing materials or content protected by copyright, trademark or other rights is not allowed. Our social media communities are not places for current or former employees of Desjardins Insurance or Desjardins Agents to engage in business-related discussions.

Keep it safe

We want our social media communities to be a place everyone can feel safe. Do not post links to sites that contain viruses or malicious software. Do not post anything that violates the laws of your country, province or city.
