Continuing our investment in the community
Better things with Desjardins Insurance
As a leading insurer, State Farm is committed to helping people manage the risks of everyday life and to recover from the unexpected. As State Farm becomes Desjardins Insurance, this commitment continues not only in the products and services we offer, but our involvement in the community. It’s part of the cooperative values that are a part of our DNA.
We partner with strong Canadian charities to help make a positive impact in society and we remain committed to promoting safe communities, healthy lifestyles and financial well-being. Additionally, the Desjardins Foundation works to address issues in education so that our youth can achieve their full potential.
Here are just a few partners we work with:
Parachute
While a driver's licence is a route to independence for many Canadian teenagers, car crashes are also the leading cause of death for young people between 15 to 20 years of age. We work with Parachute to help make a difference and bring these numbers down.
Traffic Injury Research Foundation
The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF), is Canada's leading research institute when it comes to road safety. Since 1964, TIRF has proven to be a world leader in research through program and policy development, evaluation and sharing their findings to help prevent injuries and death on Canadian roads.
Canada Safety Council
Started in 1968, the Canada Safety Council (CSC) is a national charity solely dedicated to the safety of Canadians. Through their various training programs, awareness campaigns, publications and ongoing advocacy, the CSC is able to help prevent damage to property, injury and death.
Arrive Alive
Working with various community partners, Arrive Alive has been identifying, implementing and supporting initiatives to eliminate impaired driving.
Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction
The Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) is Canada's only agency with a legislated national mandate to reduce the harms of alcohol and other drugs on Canadian society. They do so by gathering the latest evidence and sharing that evidence widely. Together with their partners, they help mobilize individual and collective efforts to achieve collective impact on the major health and social issue of problematic substance use.
