Commercial auto insurance coverage

Bodily injury liability coverage

Property damage liability coverage

Pays damages due to property damage to others for which you are responsible. If you are sued, it also pays your defence and court costs.

Accident benefits

Usually pays medical and funeral expenses for bodily injury to a covered person sustained in an accident in your vehicle.

Collision coverage

Pays for a covered auto that is damaged by collision with another object or by upset.

Comprehensive coverage

Pays for a covered auto that is stolen or damaged by causes other than collision or upset.

Uninsured motorist coverage

Pays for injuries, and in some circumstances property damage, if you're involved in an accident with someone who's uninsured or underinsured.

How much should your deductible be?

The deductible is the portion of a covered loss that's your responsibility. If your deductible is $500, when you make a claim, you pay the first $500 and your insurance company covers the rest. A higher deductible can lower your premium.

How much liability coverage do you need?

Liability claims can be costly and it's hard to predict how much you would have to pay if you are in an accident. A local Desjardins Agent can help you choose the right coverage limit for your business.

Speak to a local Desjardins Agent. We can explain the risks you face as a business owner and help you choose the right coverage.
